RESUMO
La necesidad de perfeccionar el proceso de formación de profesionales vinculados al sector de la salud, implica la búsqueda de vías para fortalecer valores y actitudes revolucionarias en las nuevas generaciones. Resulta útil e importante la implementación de ejemplos de médicos, enfermeros y otros que con su proceder marcaron pautas dentro de la ética médica. Revelar aspectos de la vida y la obra de la Dra. Anisia Yolanda Pérez Jiménez, médico especialista de Segundo Grado de dermatología y profesora titular del hospital provincial de Ciego de Ávila Dr Antonio Luaces Iraola constituyó el objetivo del trabajo. Se efectuó en la Universidad Médica Dr. José Assef Yara de Ciego de Ávila como tarea del proyecto Contribución de los aportes de los educadores destacados del siglo XX de la provincia de Ciego de Ávila, al perfeccionamiento de la Educación actual. Se utilizaron métodos y técnicas de la investigación social, así como el análisis documental, entrevistas y testimonios que dan a conocer aspectos biográficos relevantes de su vida. Se destaca su labor docente y directiva en la formación de varias generaciones de galenos. Modelo de abnegación, altruismo y solidaridad humana, de constante superación y actividad científica. The need to improve the training process of professional involved in the health sector, involves finding ways to strengthen revolutionary values and attitudes in the new generations. It is useful and important the implementation of doctors, nurses and others that marked guidelines within medical ethics with their behavior. Revealing life and work aspects of Dr. Anisia Yolanda Pérez Jiménez, specialist physician of second degree in dermatology and full Professor of Ciego de Avila provincial hospital Dr. Antonio Luaces Iraola was the objective of the study. It was performed at the Medical University of Ciego de Ávila Dr. José Assef Yara as the project task contribution of the outstanding educators of the 20th century in Ciego de Ávila to the improvement of current Education. Methods and techniques of social research, such as document analysis, interviews and testimonials that highlight relevant biographical aspects of her life were used. His teaching and directive work stands in the formation of several generations of doctors. Model of abnegation, altruism and human solidarity, of constant improvement and scientific activity. La necesidad de conocer la historia de las principales instituciones de salud que brindaron servicio a la población y las escasas fuentes de literatura que recogen estos temas, motivaron la realización del presente trabajo cuyos objetivos persiguen constituir un documento histórico de un valor imperecedero que aborda la historia del sector de la salud y contribuir a la formación de las nuevas generaciones de médicos y personal de la salud. En su elaboración se consultaron revistas y periódicos de la época, así como entrevistas a personalidades conocedoras de la historia de Ciego de Ávila. Sus resultados recogen las características de las instituciones de salud, desde la aparición en 1871 del primer Hospital Militar Español que radicó en los terrenos situados en la calle Libertad donde se construyó posteriormente el antiguo Instituto de Segunda Enseñanza de Ciego de Ávila que ocupa en la actualidad la biblioteca provincial, hasta la construcción en el año 1951 del hospital civil al que se otorga el nombre del digno médico mambí, Dr. Antonio Luaces Iraola, situado en el antiguo reparto Clarita, actualmente calle Máximo Gómez(AU)
The necessity to know the history of the main health institutions that offered service to the population and the limited Literature sources, which collect these subjects, motivated the accomplishment of the present work with the purpose to create a historical document of an imperishable value that broaches the history of the health sector and its contribution to the formation of the new generations of doctors and health staff. In their elaboration, magazines and newspapers of that time, as well as interviews to experts of the history Ciego de Avila were consulted. Their results gather the characteristics of the health institutions from 1871, when the first Spanish Military Hospital appeared, which was situated on Libertad Street where the old Institute of Secondary Education of Ciego de Avila was constructed later and it is the Provincial Library at present, to the construction of the civil hospital named after the worthy mambi doctor Antonio Luaces Iraola, located in the former district: Clarita, Máximo Gómez Street nowadays(AU)
